Receptionist / Chiropody Assistant

We are looking for an outgoing, high-energy receptionist to work in a friendly medical clinic setting. This role will play a major component for Foot Medix as you will be the first point of contact for patients. We take pride in providing excellent customer service from the time patients call in to book/inquire until they have left the clinic. The position to be filled will be part-time Monday to Friday with office hours varying between 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM. Please indicate in your resume YOUR AVAILABILITY.

This position will be responsible for the following duties, not limited to:

• Cleaning/sterilizing instruments with the use of an autoclave and ultra-sonic device (if you don’t know how, don’t sweat it. We will teach you if your willing to learn).
• Experience using the Jane App is an asset but not required (we will teach you.)
• Experience using computer programs like Microsoft Excel is an asset.
• Experience with communicating with insurance companies is an asset.
• You will be responsible for taking payments and submitting claims (direct billing) to insurance companies.
• Be able to correspond with insurance companies via, email, professional letters, fax and phone.
• Schedule appointments for new and existing patients.
• Speaking in professional manner to patients, the Chiropodist and everyone else within the clinic setting.
• Answer incoming calls inquiring about the service we provide.
• Calling insurance companies to check patient coverage and be able to explain it to them.
• Input all payments, checking on monthly statements to make sure all payments are entered.
• Taking pride in the work you do and continue to provide excellent customer service when representing Foot Medix.

Job Type: Full time or Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Being Available on some Saturdays if possible
