A day in the role of Receptionist at The Wellington Nursing & Retirement Home.
As a Recpetionist at The Wellington Nursing & Retirement Home, you will be given high expectations, as well as an expectation to continue personal growth and professional growth. In this position, you will be gifted with a rewarding experience every day in the form of being able to see the exact impact you place on our residents.
As a Receptionist, you will report directly to the Reception Manager. This position is responsible for but not limited to:
Managing incoming calls
Managing and distributing incoming and out going mail for residents and staff
Assist residents where necessary, ie. signing in and out for appointments, arranging transportation
Providing administrative support to the Executive Director and other managers
Assisting with billing and mail outs, photocopying sign in sheets, updating staff directory etc.
Ensure tea area & lobby are neat and tidy, replenishing masks
Other duties as assigned
Must be available weekends, stat holidays, vacation and sick day coverage Mon-Sun (no evening shifts are available for this position)
Qualifications

The qualifications needed to join our family at The Wellington Nursing & Retirement Home are as follows:
High School Diploma
Previous experience in a geriatric social related field is an asset
Well developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact efficiently and courteously with residents, public, employees, and volunteers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational skills
Second language is an asset
Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months, TB test results less than 6 months old, must be able to provide three supervisory references
The Wellington Nursing & Retirement Home recognizes the importance of immunization to protect our residents, staff and others from COVID-19.
