Jardeg is seeking a Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. The position is based in Delta, BC (flexible hybrid working option available).
Jardeg is the chosen Recruitment Partner for Graham! This role will support the growth of Graham’s Commercial Buildings Divisions across Western Canada. Having a strong existing network of Construction and Field Execution professionals will be the key to your success while leveraging various recruitment strategies to identify and attract top talent. You should have demonstrated experience recruiting for Construction Project Managers, Estimators, Operation Leaders, and various other Construction support roles. This position will be reporting to the Workforce Talent Acquisition Manager.
Responsibilities may include:
- Perform full-cycle recruitment activities, emphasizing sourcing to attract top talent and build diverse candidate pipelines.
- Conduct an initial job briefing with the hiring manager to learn the requirements of the position and understand what experience and knowledge prospective candidates will need to demonstrate to be successful in the role.
- Advertise positions using the applicant tracking system and additional hiring resources such as LinkedIn, online tools, and industry-specialized job boards.
- As part of this role, you will work directly with stakeholders to define sourcing needs and develop required documents and processes.
- Build and maintain talent networks (attract and engage both active and passive candidates) that are aligned with business needs across Western Canada.
- Demonstrate ability to actively pursue passive candidates and conduct research into competitors and geographical areas.
- Conduct initial candidate phone screens and manage candidates throughout the hiring process, including preparing, negotiating, and closing the offer.
- Conduct pre-employment checks as required by the hiring manager.
- Be the liaison for the onboarding process for new employees.
- Establish and build relationships with candidates, hiring stakeholders, and team members.
- Set reasonable expectations and maintain communication with the hiring manager and other stakeholders, keeping everyone informed and up to date throughout the hiring process.
- Develop and maintain contacts within the client group, establish rapport, and understand the requirements of the business.
- Report on recruitment activities and prepare & review manpower requirements with each client group.
- Educate both the hiring manager and external candidates in the company’s hiring process.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements for our recruitment processes in support of organizational and department goals.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned not otherwise captured in this position description.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment in contending demands in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in a recruitment role servicing the Construction and/or Commercial Buildings industry.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Construction/Buildings community, particularly in Vancouver and/or surrounding areas in BC.
- Excellent communication skills with a strategic thinker who brings a problem-solving mindset to any challenge through the recruiting process.
- Capable of working independently, as well as collaborating with a team, and is organized, has exceptional attention to detail, willing to take ownership, creative, and think out of the box mindsets.
- Proficiency in utilizing a variety of recruitment channels and online tools for sourcing and recruitment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education within Human Resources or Business related.
- Experience as a Senior Strategic Sourcing specialist is an asset.
- Previous agency experience is an asset.
- Expert Computer Skills: SuccessFactors Applicant Tracking System or prior experience with an applicant tracking system is an asset.
- Experience with LinkedIn recruiter seat and/or other sourcing/CRM tools preferred.
- CPHR or RPR preferred.
Compensation:
- $70,000 - $95,000 per annum.
- Salary will commensurate with education and experience.
