SalaryGFL Environmental is looking for a Red SealParts Technician to join our team in Coquitlam, BC!
The Parts Technician will be responsible for daily monitoring, tracking, and maintaining of all inventories, purchase orders, and invoices. The Ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, demonstrates integrity, and will thrive in a positive, team oriented and supportive culture. This role has an excellent growth potential for the right candidate to grow into a regional position.
- Manage inventory control system to ensure necessary equipment and part levels are maintained and purchases are within budget
- Receive and label inventory appropriately; ensure inventory area is well maintained and organized systematically and physically
- Order parts and materials through Company internal system
- Meet with vendors to evaluate price, availability, and services offered on new products
- Obtain quotes & process all vendor repair orders, purchase orders, and invoices; identify solutions, investigate disputes, and process corrections
- Expedite parts and services as needed to support production
- Makes recommendations to Fleet Manager on a course of action for cost savings initiatives and provides insight to material purchasing
- Knowledge of safety and other related state/provincial and federal regulations
- Perform other job-duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Red Seal Certified
- 2 or more years of inventory control or parts management experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficiency on computers & parts ordering software
- Knowledge of the industry or warehousing experience as asset
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds
- Safety conscious
