Red Seal Truck & Transport Technician

Dave's Service Centre is currently seeking a Red Seal Truck/Transport Mechanic to join the team. The successful applicant(s) must be focused, driven, and able to work in a team environment. Be self-motivated and have a genuine desire to get the job done in a professional, efficient and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Making repairs to fleet vehicles, including (but not limited to) repairing diesel engines, alignments, suspension, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Diagnosing failures of vehicles and disassembling, repairing and reassembly parts as necessary
• Performing routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other vital parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition
• Inspecting, repairing and maintaining refrigeration systems
• Fill out and submit all required documents in an accurate and timely manner
• Help to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

• Red Seal Truck and Transport License required
• Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and storage procedures
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedure
• Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures

Salary: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
