We have a long history of teaching residents, fellows, technologists and providing diagnostic medical imaging services in multiple practice settings (Academic Hospital, Community Hospitals and Integrated Community Health Services Centres specializing in Medical Imaging). Three of the Community Hospitals we serve have been recently announced as sites for new MRI installations. Planning to develop these programs is underway.

Position Summary:

As a member of the LXA-Community Hospital team, the Regional Coordinator of Community Hospitals, Scheduling & Projects oversees the provision of on-site and remote radiologists, tele-radiology, home access services to academic, Community Hospitals, and community based medical imaging clinics. The Regional Coordinator is expected to perform independently with general supervision, demonstrate excellent judgment in a team setting to support radiologists, referring physicians/clinicians, and technologists. The Regional Coordinator supports the Chief of Scheduling to develop and implement radiologist schedules in collaboration with radiologists, Community and Academic Hospital administrators, LXA’s COO and Community Hospitals Liaison Assistant.

A firm understanding of technologist, radiologist, and Medical Imaging departmental workflow is a requirement. The Regional Coordinator will organize and participate with vendor selection for equipment, software and manage 3rd party on-call tele-radiology providers including implementation of service rollouts. The Regional Coordinator is expected to establish and maintain relationships with hospital administrative team members, clinical leads, referring physicians/clinicians, professional care providers, patients, support personnel, and 3rd party vendors. These relationships will require the use of medical and business terminology, tact, discretion and judgment, as well careful adherence to privacy and confidentiality in both electronic and verbal communications.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

· MRT Designation in good standing with CMRITO and OAMRS will be given preference, however candidates with college or university related healthcare diplomas or degrees will be reviewed.

· Hospital and/or community medical imaging experience is required.

· Medical Imaging departmental scheduling of staff, exams, and procedures experience is a requirement.

· RIS PACS knowledge and experience are a requirement. Currently LXA uses Cerner, Agfa PACS and InteleRad.

· 2 to 3 years of coordination, supervision or project experience in medical imaging or related healthcare field is preferred.

· Experience with oversight and implementation of small to medium organizational size projects.

· Experience with scheduling software and willingness to learn new software platforms.

· Proficiency in MSWord, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

· Must possess a valid G class license and reliable vehicle. Travel time is estimated to be 25%, which is considered frequent.

· On-site presence is a requirement.

· Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
