The Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, performs delegated duties related to the technical and
clerical functions of the pharmacy in accordance with the mission, vision, values, and philosophy of the Northern Health
Region (NHR).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 education
- Successful completion of a CCAPP Accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate or the program prescribed by the
Pharmacy Technician Certificate
- Recognized or eligible to be recognized as a Pharmacy Technician by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
- Completion or eligible to complete the CPhM Pharmacy Technician Structural Practical Training Program and
- Must acquire and maintain competency in sterile compounding and validation consistent with current NAPRA
- Must successfully complete and maintain Sterile Compounding Supervisor designation
- Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel the region year round
- Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
- WHMIS and proper handling of cytotoxic substances
- Satisfactory employment record required
- Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
