Form of workUnder the direction of the Manger of Community Programs, the position uses independence, initiative, and the nursing process to plan, organize, implement and evaluate professional nursing care for clients with mental and physical handicaps in community settings; case management services include assessment, monitoring, health teaching, support consultation, liaison and referral; ensures that the model of client self-care and independence is maintained; participates in the administration of all Acts and Regulations applicable to nursing functions.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Tue/Wed/Thur one week alternating with Tue/Wed the next week, Days - 08:00 to 16:30

Qualifications
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• 3 years' experience in community home care or acute care nursing (RN) plus and equivalent combination of experience and post-basic education in nursing clients with mental handicaps.
• Current valid BC Driver's License.
