We currently have a Regular Part-time (0.4 FTE) opportunity for a Registered Practical Nurse on the Veteran’s Centre LSSE department at Bayview.
Hours of Work: Weekdays & Alternating Weekends: Evenings; 8hrs; As per schedule

Summary of Duties
RPNs are responsible for the total care of a group of residents within a Primary Nursing care delivery model within their scope of practice. The RPN supports the philosophy of Person Centred Care concept and principles and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The RPN works closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications/Skills
- Current Ontario College of Nurses Registration
- Current BCLS
- Diploma RPN or equivalent
- Palliative care experience required
- Previous experience working with the elderly
- Excellent assessment skills required
- Ability to work effectively and therapeutically in a setting with residents with dementia
- Demonstrated commitment to Person-Centred Care approach and principles
- Demonstrated use of effective communication strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer and key boarding skills
