As a member of the Rehabilitation Team, provides assigned care to client/ resident and completes department duties
under the supervision of the designated registered therapist. Provides along with the team therapy services to hospital
inpatients, outpatients, personal care home residents, and primary health care clients. Demonstrates and understands the
philosophy of rehabilitation and reinforces this philosophy in all contacts with clients/residents, staff, and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Recognized Rehabilitation Assistant certificate (alternate combinations of education and experience may be
- Current certification from a recognized Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), or obtain within three (3)
- Previous rehabilitation experience is an asset
- Previous clerical experience is an asset
- Previous sewing experience is an asset
- Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet
- Satisfactory employment record required
- Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
