SalaryWorking with the Post Stroke Navigator daily, on weekdays for 30 hours/week , the Rehabilitation Support Worker assists/teaches/supervises post stroke clients in activities of daily living and personal care so that maximum independence and identified goals are achieved.
- asset to have post secondary education in a health, human or social service area
- experience working with adults with physical disabilities and/or others with long term health care needs (stroke preferred)
- experience including group facilitation
- understanding of and commitment to independent living and client's right to direct their own care
- excellent physical strength and stamina
- demonstrated ability to work as a team member and ability to work independently in a professional manner
- strong verbal/written communication skills
- sound judgement and discretion in confidential matters
- excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- valid driver's license and vehicle an asset but not necessary
- CPR/First Aid
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: From $19.00 per hour
