SalaryPosition Summary:
Under the supervision and direction of the Rehabilitation Therapy department leader, the Rehabilitation Therapist assesses, plans, implements and evaluates rehabilitation therapy directed toward clients' restoration/maintenance of an optimal level of independence, prevention of further disability and achievement of purposeful engagement with their environment. Using clinically accepted procedures; plans, modifies, implements, evaluates and documents Rehabilitation Services received by those clients referred by their physician.
Qualifications:
- Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy experience in a long term care preferred but not essential.
- Administrative experience preferred but not required.
- Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy
- Current first aid and food safe

Key Responsibilities:
- Assesses individual clients to identify client issues/challenges and to determine rehabilitation needs.
- Establishes client goals, develops and documents individual care and treatment plans.
- Requests physician's referral, treats individuals in accordance with their treatment plans, Recommends constructs and/or provides adaptive equipment splints, aides or remedial programs. Plans and directs the training or individual clients in personal care, dressing, feeding and ambulation. Provides counseling for clients and their families regarding lifestyle adjustments.
Sunday - Thursday rotation
Hours - 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
