POSITION PROFILE:
Reman Foreman is a key leadership position in the Service/Reman Department responsible for:
- Responsible for profitable and effective management of Off - Road Heavy Equipment Component Rebuilds and Manufacturing
- Manage a team of Heavy Equipment Technicians, apprentices in all aspects of productivity including quoting, diagnostics and invoicing
- Customer contact for quotations, repair updates and warranty concerns
- Liaise with Customer, Sales and internal teams as required on service issues and opportunities
- Minimize warranty and rework through implementation and enforcement of reman processes and procedures
- Manage technicians to a timely and productive service schedule
- Work with service manager to maximize labour utilization
- Act as an ambassador for Health and Safety including corporate initiative such as CORE
- Comply with all safety requirements such as toolbox meetings, safety meetings and hazard analyses
- Manage administrative requirements such as cost coding and time and materials allocations, job stories etc. in a timely fashion
- Manage core teardown and inspections, prepare all core inspection documentation along with failure analysis reports
- Mentor and train mechanics and apprentices
- Conduct Toolbox meetings every morning
- Ensure FLRA’s are done for every job
- Ensure Job stories are complete for each work order
- Manage and assist with assembling must-do component parts lists and build sheets
- Work with Apprentice Trainer/Foreman to develop and implement Apprentice Training program. Schedule bench hands and apprentices time throughout the Reman department

- Transmission, Diff and Planetary Rebuild Bay
- Hydraulic Cylinder Rebuild Bay
- Head Rebuild Bay
- Block Rebuild Bay
- Paint Bay
- Dyno Bay
- Other Duties as Required
Requirements and Qualifications
- Journeyman Technician an asset
- Off - Road Heavy Equipment Mechanical Experience an asset
- Strong Computer skills- Excel, Outlook, Word
- Proficient with SIS, Prosis and other OEM software packages
- Minimum 5 years Caterpillar experience
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
- Experience with Volvo, Komatsu and Deere an asset.
