DESCRIPTION
The Research Assistant will assist where needed but focused on assisting with tasks related to data.
Within this role the employee is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the Kingston Health Sciences Centre’s strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES:
  • Assisting with study administrative tasks (including but not limited to scheduling, preparing study files, assisting with any data related tasks
  • Data entry/organization via data base
  • Provide administrative support and associated clerical duties related to the study.
  • Communicates study details/information to study subjects.
  • Assist with data collection and organization
  • Ensures study participants are kept appraised of progress and processes throughout study.
  • Assisting with any invoicing pertaining to research related expenses

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Grade 12
  • College Diploma in office Administration an asset
  • Previous experience in office/medical setting for at least 6 months within the last 5 years
  • High level of verbal and written skills, good grammar, composition and spelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, courteously and tactfully with all people.
  • Discretion and maturity in handling confidential material/matters.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Suite an asset. Additional experience with data analysis, data collection, and/or graphic software would also be an asset but is not required (e.g., Visio, GraphPad, SPSS, Qualtrics, REDCap)
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly.
  • Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
