Job Description: Reporting to the Provincial Manager, Analytics, the Epidemiologist is responsible for designing and conducting research projects and evaluations of Agency programs and services and to conduct surveillance activities of cancer for Saskatchewan.
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health or related field
Experience
None required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Communication skills are required to develop and present complex information including written documentation and verbal presentations.
Competent in use of a variety of software
Comprehensive knowledge of statistical analysis, research and program evaluation methodologies and epidemiology.
Human relations skills required to ensure compliance and promote acceptance through negotiating with staff and suppliers where there is a requirement to resolve the conflict or situation.
Initiative and independent judgment required to solve complex problems.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload
