We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Resident Care Aides. In this role, you will work under the leadership of Health Care Assistants to provide essential care and support to residents in our long-term care facility. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, making beds, cleaning rooms, laundry, assisting with meals, providing companionship, and offering assistance with rehabilitation programs. The position offers flexibility, with shifts available from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. All necessary training will be provided on site.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Make beds, clean rooms, and ensure that residents' living spaces are tidy and organized.
- Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing.
- Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration according to their individual dietary needs.
- Provide companionship to residents, engaging in conversations and recreational activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
- Support residents in participating in rehabilitation programs and activities as directed by the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with Health Care Assistants and other staff members to ensure the overall well-being and safety of residents.
- Attend training sessions and continuing education programs to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in long-term care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to contribute to the efficient operation of the long-term care facility.

- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions from supervisors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and nights.
- Willingness to undergo on-the-job training..
- Physical ability to lift and move residents, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and reaching.
