We are looking for a leader to serve as Resident Services Manager (RCA/HCA Manager) at our dynamic and innovative Berwick by the Sea. Position Summary:

The Resident Services Manager is responsible for administering residents’ Personal Services Plans, including but not limited to, bathing, medication reminders, ADL’s and laundry services.

As Resident Services Manager, you are an enthusiastic, well-rounded individual with exceptional interpersonal and administrative skills. The Resident Services Manager will also serve as an ambassador to residents, and have some marketing assistance responsibilities. The Resident Services Manager is part of the Management team and resumes a rotational responsibility of a Manager on call. The Resident Services Manager is responsible for hiring, training ,scheduling and evaluating all members of the Enhanced Living team.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Completion of RCA certificate with diploma (preference may be given to applicants with LPN certification).
  • Medication Administration Certificate
  • Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
  • WHMIS, First Aid, & CPR
  • Experience in the field of geriatrics & resident care
  • Knowledge of bath procedures and ADL needs for seniors
  • Knowledge of methods of transfer and capable of supporting residents with varying degrees of mobility
  • Physically able to lift, bend and perform repetitive movements
  • Demonstrates an awareness of accident and incident prevention and adheres to safe work practices
  • Proficient with computer software (MS Office Suite)
  • Relationship building & team oriented
  • Strong communication skills including, listening, understanding & responding
  • Commitment to customer relationships and hospitality by being caring and courteous to residents, families, visitors and co-workers
  • Tact, diplomacy, sound judgment & confidentiality
  • Patience, reliability and empathy skill
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills

The successful candidate will provide service in a manner that respects the resident’s dignity and self-esteem by supporting choice, independence and autonomy. Encourages and adheres to a holistic philosophy of wellness, recognizing that each resident is capable of making decisions about his/her life.

Note: A criminal record check is required pursuant to the Criminal Records Review Act for working with vulnerable adults. Current TB test also required, as well as proof of Covid-19 vaccination(s).
