GFL Environmental is currently seeking to add safe and talented DZ Residential Driver Loaders to our growing team based out of our unionized location in Hamilton. We are dedicated to providing a safe and positive workplace to all of our employees.

Starting Pay Rate: Rear load $25.23/hour
Start Time: 6:15 AM Monday-Friday

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

• Valid DZ license, clean drivers abstract and CVOR

• Verifiable experience

• Waste industry experience an asset

• Must be physically fit to be successful in the position

• Able to work Saturdays when required

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and transport residential waste and recycling to designated disposal sites in an efficient and appropriate manner

• Recycling and waste containers can weigh up to 50 lbs. and need to be emptied into hopper of truck.

• This is a labor-intensive position. You will be required to make multiple and frequent residential stops per day.

• Adhere to the collection and delivery schedule while following all relevant policies and procedures of the Company, the MTO, Ministry of Environment as well as the by-laws of the Municipality in which you are working.

• Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections of trucks assigned

• Complete daily routes as assigned by the Route supervisors

• Perform end of day driver check-ins to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion

• May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Route Supervisors
