Residential Snow Clearing Operator

Responsibilities:

-Available for on call work 7 days a week, ready to work during any snow event for as little as 2 cm.

- Ability to work long, physically demading hours, during extented snow events.

-This is a salary postion, the pay rate per week is the same regardless of the amount of snow.

- Operate 3/4 tonne pick up trucks equipped snow plow equipment to clear mainly residenatal driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks during winter weather conditions.

- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient snow removal.

- Use hand tools and power tools to clear snow and ice from walkways and entrances

- Perform routine maintenance on snow plow equipment to ensure proper functioning

- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate snow removal efforts

- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time logs and maintenance reports

- Opportunity to transiton into summer lawn care duties at the end of the winter season.

Skills:

- Proficiency in operating snow plow equipment and related machinery

- Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues

- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in snow removal operations

- Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods of time

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members

Salary: $900.00 per week

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Snow Clearing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• drivers licence with a clean driving record. (preferred)
