Duties:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for foster children
- Meet the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of each child
- Collaborate with caseworkers and other professionals to create and implement individualized care plans
- Advocate for the best interests of the child in court hearings and meetings
- Maintain accurate records and documentation regarding the child's progress and well-being
- Attend required trainings and meetings to enhance knowledge and skills as a Foster Parent
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Experience working with children, preferably in a caregiving role
- Ability to provide a stable and supportive home environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of foster children
- Willingness to undergo background checks, home inspections, and complete required training
- Ability to work collaboratively with caseworkers, birth families, and other professionals involved in the child's care
Note: Foster parents are paid a per/day, per/child rate that is non taxable.
