Retail Manager

We are looking for a Retail Manager to help us open our first brick-and-mortar in Toronto! You will be our first employee based in Toronto, building a retail team from scratch.

Role Overview

• Assist with store location selection, lease negotiation
• Assist with renovation (coordinate with interior designer for store design, oversee tenant improvement permit application, coordinate with trades for renovation, budget monitoring)
• Recruit and train store staff prior to store opening
• Oversee store merchandise (monitor inventory levels, bi-weekly restock orders, loss prevention)
• Ensure the store executes brand marketing plans (display window, posters, promotions)
• Achieve monthly sales goals
• All housekeeping related to the store

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in retail sales and merchandising, ideally in the apparel industry
• Excellent communication skills. Our HQ is in Vancouver, besides brief periods of training, most communication will be remote for this role.
• Ability to problem-solve. This role is entrepreneurial in nature. A successful candidate can encounter a situation for the first time, and make responsible decisions based on experience, research, and common sense.
• Honesty and integrity. A successful candidate can lead their team by example.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $64,000.00-$74,000.00 per year
