Retail Marketing Analyst | Contractor

7-Eleven is immediately hiring a Retail & Marketing Analyst Contractor based in Lower Mainland (Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Langley).

• This is a contractor role
• No agency calls
• Fully remote but expected to be in the office (SSC – Surrey, BC) for presentations and in-person meetings

We are looking for a high-performing individual within the digital marketing team that is able to cope within a fast paced start-up environment as they work across cross-functional teams as well as multiple agencies and vendors.

Job Description:

As a Marketing Analyst, you will be responsible driving deep customer and channel
analysis in order to support customer acquisition for various digital products
that 7-Eleven offers. You will conducting deep-dive analysis of our Delivery,
E-commerce, Loyalty businesses. You will work with product teams to understand
the business goals & product roadmap, structure analysis and generate
insights that help develop marketing strategy. Your analysis will Identify
marketing tactics (including creative and messaging). You will be conducting
end-to-end analysis of each marketing initiative and track day-to-day
performance against business goals.

Experience Requirements:

• Previous analyst experience role in retail or food services organization (3 years)
• Working experience with designing and building reporting dashboards
• Well versed in a variety of data mining/data analysis methods within Big Data environment
• Previous experiences testing the effectiveness of experimental courses of actions
• Previous experiences leading behavioral profiling and segmentation analyses
• Experience with transforming data into insights within an organization
• Must have advance knowledge of Excel, plus either PowerBI or Tableau

Note: This is not a data engineering role, but the following are a plus

• Coding queries in SQL
• Production scheduling of data set refreshes

Education level:

Post-secondary degree in Business Admin/Commerce, or Data Analytics
