If you love to shop and you’re passionate working with customers then this is the place for you! We are hiring immediately for a Retail Sales Associate. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the face of Nickel City Surplus and at the center of all store activities.

Job Description

Nickel City Surplus is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team in Greater Sudbury, ON. The ideal candidate is customer service oriented, has a positive attitude, and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.

Essential Functions:

• Greet and direct customers to their desired products
• Answer customers’ questions about specific products and current promotions
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow basic safety and quality-control procedures
• Contribute to a team effort to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers and customers.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: From $16.65 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
