Jarvis Engineering Consultants is presently offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled REVIT/BIM Technician to join our team in either our Kelowna or Abbotsford office. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional modelling skills and be proficient in contributing to the design of building services. Working under the direct supervision of a project engineer or designer and you will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of projects.

If you possess the aforementioned qualities, the following responsibilities would be expected of you:

• Adhere to the company’s BIM standards.
• Complete assigned design tasks within the designated timeline.
• Generate Autodesk Revit drawings from sketches, mark-ups, and/or electrical building system designs.
• Verify modelled content against sketches/mark-ups to ensure accuracy of work.
• Have familiarity with structural and architectural models to identify space limitations and interferences.
• Develop system layouts in co-ordination with the structural, architectural, and mechanical components of a building.
• Be capable of sizing/designing services in accordance with office standards and local codes.
• Check layouts of services for interferences with other components of the building such as structure, ceilings, diffusers, ducting, piping, etc.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by Project Managers required to assist in the completion of projects.
