This is a contract position starting on January 2024
Starting wage for this position is $19 per hour; will vary based on experience
Minimum age for this job is 18 years old
Candidates must have some carpentry experience (Grade 12 woodworking or above)
Responsibilities:
Performs daily inspections of wood coasters and other rides.
Perform minor maintenance and repair as required
Operate Drill Press and various hand tools
Check all fasteners for tightness
Assist in the installation of equipment and keep all work areas clean and tidy
Perform preventative maintenance schedules on all designated rides
Assist full-time ride maintenance carpenters in their duties
Perform work within the carpentry shop and ride locations
Qualifications:
Job related experience or enrolled in post-secondary related program (Grade 12 woodworking and above) Farming and/or construction experience is an asset Available to work flexible shifts, on weekends and holidays Able to work effectively at heights and in varying weather conditions Able to work independently Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license (class G/G2) and provide a driver’s abstract, if hired Able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc)
