Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled (PM) and unscheduled maintenance (Reactive) on robots and automated equipment in a timely manner.
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance personnel related to all facets of the automated and facilities equipment.
  • Assist in developing PM strategies and identify areas of improvement as related to all automated equipment.
  • Ensure operational quality and efficiency targets are maintained.
  • Provide a complete inventory control of specialized parts/equipment for prescribed equipment.
  • Design and test hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems.
  • This position requires extensive logic controllers & robotic troubleshooting.
  • Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company. Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak’s TQI program.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 and SQF 2000 standards.
  • Position is On Call 24/7

Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Red Seal Certification in Electrical
  • Technical diploma in Automation or Engineering Technology
  • 3 plus years’ experience in the hands on repair and maintenance of Automation, Robotics and CNC
  • Experience with Kuka Robots is considered and asset
  • Hands on technical skills with respect to Mechanical Assembly, Machine Repair, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, PLC and CNC based control and logic systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC, CNC, Electrical and Mechanical Systems
