JOB SUMMARY:

As a team our goal is to create an unforgettable, picture-perfect experience for our guests. Your role in that goal is very important! At Copper Point Resort and Invermere Inn & Suites, our Rooms Division Coordinator will support our Front Desk and Housekeeping operations٫ act as our company's ‘face’ and ensure our visitors are properly welcomed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of rooms, reservations, and room assignments;
  • Manage reservations made by phone, email and through OTA’s;
  • Serve as Front Office liaison with Housekeeping and Maintenance to coordinate and block guest rooms as necessary;
  • Communicate room’s challenges/inventory concerns to front office team daily;
  • Coordinate projects and activities, maintaining correct inventory of on-going rejuvenation projects in MMS (i.e. mattress, sofa, T.V. replacements in guest rooms)
  • Attending telephone calls and monitor IA concierge;
  • Assist with hiring, training, supervising, developing, and evaluating front line team in both housekeeping and front desk departments;
  • Assist with implementing preventative maintenance program;
  • Assist with implementing and assessing policies and procedures;
  • Assist Front Desk during high business demands;
  • Assist Groups Coordinator to sell and book local activities;
  • Participate in the sales initiatives for the properties;
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to guest requests;
  • Listen to customers’ feedback and ensure that the complaints are addressed efficiently and effectively;
  • Communicate effectively with all other departments within the hotel;
  • Stand-in for any member of staff that is unavailable to carry out their duties to prevent service disruptions;
  • Direct all departmental activities, in absence of the Housekeeping or Front Desk Manager;
  • Maintain good relationship with customers and/or clients and suppliers;
  • Represent the culture of INNHotels and build repeat guests;
  • Perform other related duties as required by the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to work different shift hours and stand for an entire shift.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a hospitality setting;
  • Previous Front Desk, Housekeeping and/or Customer Service experience is required;
  • Valid First Aid certification is an asset;
  • Strong computer skills: knowledge of Opera PMS is preferred, but not necessary;
  • Relevant education and experience in a hospitality or tourism setting is preferred.
