The group at Lakeside Grain & Feed Limited is looking for a self-driven and eager individual to join our growing team as a Row Crop Sales Agronomist. Within this role the successful candidate will complement and build on our existing Row Crop business in Ontario and support the growth at Lakeside.

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Build on Lakeside’s existing sales program Agronomy 3.0

· Establish a sound business relationship with customers

· Maintain and identify new sales opportunities with Row Crop growers

· Development of individual grower crop plans, providing innovation and agronomic solutions to maximize grower returns

· Coordinate customer requests and sales with operations staff to ensure requirements are met

· Conduct in-field scouting of weeds, insects & diseases

· Work with industry partners to run field-scale trials for new products & seed

· Review and oversee the collection of Customer Receivables

· Willingness to learn and work with a wide variety Row Crop processor’s

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Willingness to work flexible hours including evening & weekends as required

· Ability to work in cross-functional teams across the Lakeside business structure

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills

· Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft software

· Plan, present and organize customer meeting and plot demonstration days

· Valid G Driver’s licence & willingness to provide driver’s abstract

· Ability to lift & carry up to 60lbs as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· A post secondary education, diploma, or degree in Agriculture/Marketing

· Agricultural experience, particularly in the Row Crop field

· Agronomic sales experience (3 years preferred)

· Certified Crop Advisor designation would be considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
