RPN( Temporary 15 month)(potential to 18 months)

• Rooming patients for physicians, triaging calls, injections re: B12, allergy serums, immunizations, etc, ear flushes, assist with biopsies, procedures as needed.
• clear and concise documentation
• Clear and concise communication with patients, staff and physicians.
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, renewed annually
• A commitment to optimal standard of nursing care within the centre’s environment, serving patients of all ages
• Provide current Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate
• Demonstrate a commitment to continued nursing education and support for the College of Nurses Quality Assurance Program
• Membership in the RPNAO (malpractice insurance recommended)
• Demonstrate punctuality, timely arrival for daily preparations
• Team player, assist others as necessary
• Handle records with care and confidentiality
• Ability to handle, label and package patient specimens
• Identify unsafe situations and report to the Manager
• In absence of nursing duties, participate in administrative duties.

Supplies

• Use equipment and supplies in a cost effective manner. Seek assistance for training when required.
• Ensure tidying of rooms at the end of shift. Ensure rooms are restocked at a regular point throughout each week.

Qualifications (other)

• Computer knowledge with EMR(PS Suites) an asset
• Organized, ability to complete work within time frames
• Professional and courteous phone manner
• Team player, willingness to assist others
• Ability to work under pressure / urgent responses

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 15 months

Salary: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
