The primary focus of this role will center around safety responsibilities, complemented by key duties in quality management. Some quality-related responsibilities include conducting deficiency inspections, overseeing submittals, and enforcing various site quality control and assurance measures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our Safety and Quality Program Manager, you will assume a versatile role to enhance both safety and quality aspects across our projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing leadership in safety practices, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance

• Conducting safety inspections and audits, while addressing and rectifying issues promptly

• Developing and implementing documents such as hazard assessments, codes of practices, job safety analyses, and quality control plans

• Overseeing and managing the safety training requirements for staff

• Managing incident investigations and reporting for timely resolution

• Collaborating with team members to develop and implement safety and quality plans and protocols

• Championing a proactive safety and quality culture through coaching, mentoring, and education

• Conducting deficiency inspections to identify and address deviations from project requirements

• Managing submittals and document control

• Implementing site organization protocols to ensure a safe, efficient, and professional working environment

• Demonstrating commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship

REQUIREMENTS:

To excel in this role, you must:

• Possess a Class 5 valid Driver's License.

• Demonstrate proficiency in working independently and collaboratively within a team

• Demonstrate excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal abilities

SKILLS AND ASSETS:

Experience or expertise in the following areas will be considered valuable assets:

• Progressive experience in safety management

• Professional safety designation, degree, or post-secondary education in a related field

• Common course training, including First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Workplace Inspections, Incident Investigation, Hazard Identification & Control

• Knowledge of commercial building construction processes

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve safety and quality issues

• Previous involvement in a construction quality control role

• Familiarity with deficiency inspection protocols and best practices for site organization

• Proficiency in common computer applications

• Capability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
