Sales Arborist/Quoter: Salary + Competitive Commission

Heritage Tree Care Inc. is a highly experienced and well-regarded expert tree service based in Toronto’s west end since 2006. We seek to bring a full-circle, holistic approach to the overall health of each individual tree and to understand their unique biomechanical structure based on their species, condition, and various environmental factors.

We are also highly productive and efficient in our daily work activities, which vary from technically complex removals in tight downtown locations, to precision pruning of every possible species and size throughout the GTA. We are set to expand operations throughout the GTA, hence we are keenly seeking to hire a selection of exceptional professionals for a great 2024 season ahead.

We have an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist on staff aswell as ISA Certified and TRAQ qualified Arborist on staff.

JOB DETAILS:

As a Sales & Quoting Arborist, you must be a highly self-motivated individual with a deep interest in trees and the industry that we work in.

You will be responsible for the development of project opportunities based on the needs of the client and the capabilities of the business.

You will be an active presence during the entire full-cycle client/ project management, from the initial client request to the completion of the job, the invoicing and the quality control follow-up.

You will be responsible for communicating directly with the client in every stage of the project. Your ultimate function will be to provide objective expert advice and detailed quotes to facilitate the needs of the customer.

You must be an excellent communicator and be willing and able to explain the work parameters of each job sold with all HTC members in a calm and respectful manner.

You will also be responsible for providing friendly and engaging on-site visits, tree inspection, risk assessment, and client consultation in all sorts of conditions and environments and be able to articulate your findings through both verbal and written communication.

Full-time employment February -December. Our 2024 candidate would start THIS season.

Our yard is in Parkdale – perfect for the downtown dweller.

Optional 4-day work week every second week. Time off to pursue life/ interests.

Excellent hourly pay with competitive sales commission paid out monthly.

We provide in-house Aerial rescue Training and help subsidize external courses that help you improve as an Arborist (ISA, OCAA, ArborCanada, etc).

Requirements:

-Minimum 2 years of hands-on tree care experience with the ability to estimate, organize and provide high-level customer service.

- Be skilled at composing work proposals in careful articulate manner with excellent grammar

-Knowledge, understanding, and respect of all the services provided by Tree Care industry

-Be ISA Certified Arborist & TRAQ qualified or have an equivalent formal education

-Thorough understanding of all relevant GTA tree bylaws

-Experience preparing private tree and construction-related arborist reports and city applications

-Adhere to HTC's company code of ethics and carefully follow the Policies & Procedures Manual and health & safety protocol
