As a Business Development Associate, a typical day might include the following:
- Generate business through internet sources and coordinating internet promotions
- Making outbound emails, calls and text messages to potential clients
- Assists guests in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to the guest's responses
- Book sales appointments with our Product Advisors
- Present or complete remote sales transactions if the initial dealership visit is not possible
- Introduces guests to dealership operations, including the service and parts departments, to emphasize to guests the quality and efficiency of the dealerships service operations
- Maintains and achieves the given target and guest satisfaction objectives set by management
- Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms and prepare sales order forms and/or reports
- Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth
- Provide financial information regarding lease and finance rates
- Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualification and Requirements
- Recommended 1-2 years of direct work experience in a sales, customer service or business development capacity
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects while maintaining established departmental quotas.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Valid OMVIC registration, a plus.
