Our division is experiencing hyper growth and we are seeking an experienced sales leader to join our aggressive and dynamic team.

We need a sales leader who can coach, be creative, and develop productive salespeople to service and sell our smart thermostats that are in extremely high demand in the Hospitality and MDU sectors.

The Sales Team Leader will be responsible for driving results from his/her team and will ensure that we have a strong foundation of talent to move towards our aggressive business goals.

Position Description:

The Sales Team Leader will report to the Director of Commercial Sales and will be responsible for executing a revenue goal. This hybrid position will require you to collaborate with your team as well as other teams in marketing, client support, and technology. You will have monthly sales KPI’s to meet and will be responsible for communicating individual goals within the team each week.

Your Day to Day

  • Train and mentor a team of sales representatives, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Set clear performance objectives, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Share industry insights and expertise with the Sales Team, keeping them informed and motivated
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Monitor sales metrics and KPIs, regularly reporting on team performance and making data-driven decisions.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to the Sales Team, assisting them in overcoming challenges and closing deals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and client support and operation teams to align strategies and optimize results.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to the Sales Team, assisting them in overcoming challenges and closing deals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Participate in client meetings and negotiations, demonstrating excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns and issues, ensuring a high level of service and customer success.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and sales best practices.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills through professional development and networking opportunities.

What You Bring to Our Team

  • 3 years of inside B2B sales experience and account management experience selling over the phone or web
  • 2 years of successful Sales Team Leadership with at least 5 direct reports
  • Strong record of success meeting sales goals within a Sales Team
  • Quick learning skills that allow you to excel with new markets, products and technology
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a Sales Team to achieve ambitious targets
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems is a definite asset
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, strategies, and the ability to adapt to evolving market dynamics.
  • Business savvy and a sense of urgency to guide a prospect through a longer sales cycle
  • Very comfortable with analytics and spreadsheets
  • Superlative written and oral communication skills
  • Fluent in English - written and oral
  • Knowledge in French is a definite asset
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales productivity tools.
  • Authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.
