Sample Receipt Technician - Seasonal

Salary: $22/hr
Summary:
The Seasonal Sample Receipt Technician is an entry-level position into the logistics chain. This position is given direction from the Logistics Supervisor and other logistics team members. The Seasonal Sample Receipt Technician is responsible for the reception, setting-up, and movement of samples. This is a contract-based position that begins immediately and ends May 1st with the possibility to extend.
Responsibilities:

• Reception of samples from clients and couriers
• Ensure samples are unpacked and setup
• Ensure samples are shipped to the lab in a timely manner
• Inform required parties of sample integrity issues through verbal or written means
• Preparation of sample kits as per client requirements
• Ensure incoming non-sample deliveries are properly processed
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed
• Responsible to maintain a clean and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

• Limited to no logistics experience
• Basic computer skills
• Problem solving skills
• Customer service experience an asset

Work Environment: This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a shipping / warehouse environment. This position may require consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
