Sanitation Lead

Stewart Farms is a leading Health Canada licensed cannabis production facility committed to delivering high-quality, standardized cannabis products to meet the diverse needs of medical and recreational consumers. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sanitation Lead. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment within our cannabis production facility, ensuring compliance with Health Canada regulations and internal quality standards.

We need someone who is outgoing and self-motivated as this is a high-pressure, fast-paced work environment, so buckle up and hold on tight! We need someone who can think on their feet, pivot quickly, and keep a sense of humor about it all (because we're a fun bunch!).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily sanitation tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, workspaces, and common areas.
• Ensure the facility adheres to all relevant health and safety standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive sanitation protocols in compliance with Health Canada regulations and internal quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of production areas, equipment, and facilities to identify and address sanitation issues promptly.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and quality assurance teams to establish and maintain sanitation schedules that minimize production disruptions.
• Monitor and manage inventory of sanitation supplies and chemicals, ensuring proper usage and storage in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to implement corrective actions and preventive measures related to sanitation issues.
• Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including documentation of cleaning procedures, schedules, and inspections.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and optimization in sanitation practices.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Sanitation Leadership role within a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in the cannabis or pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of Health Canada regulations and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) related to sanitation in a cannabis production facility.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Knowledge of sanitation best practices, chemicals, and equipment used in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
