The Position:

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing janitorial duties in our plant to maintain a clean and safe work environment. The Sanitation Worker will have a strong knowledge of sanitation procedures, cleaning equipment, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals. You will also collaborate with a team to ensure operational excellence. If you take pride in a job well done, and have excellent attention to detail, this may be the role for you!

What You Will Do:

· Follow established cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance and plant protocols are maintained

· Use proper cleaning equipment, chemicals, and protective gear to safely and effectively clean bathrooms, lunchrooms, floors, walls, and other areas of the plant

· Use proper equipment to vacuum waste and debris from the plant and dispose of it in accordance with regulatory requirements

· Conduct regular inspections of the plant to identify areas that require additional attention and report any issues to the supervisor

· Maintain accurate records of cleaning and sanitation activities for regulatory compliance

· Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that the plant is cleaned and sanitized in a timely manner

· Reporting unsafe and faulty equipment, fixtures, and processes to supervisor

· May support Production team with basic production related tasks as required

· Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

What You Bring:

· Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work, meet high standard of sanitation

· Previous sanitation experience in a manufacturing environment an asset

· Knowledge of sanitation procedures and protocols

· Able to operate forklift and scissor lift

· Must be detail oriented and physically able to lift up to 50lbs

· Good team player, works well with others but also able to independently complete own work and work with limited supervision

· Takes pride in work

· Able to excel in a fast paced, changing environment

· Reliable and highly efficient
