Scale House Attendant

Farrell’s Excavating Ltd. has an opportunity available for a Scale House Attendant for our Scale House located in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Farrell’s Excavating has been providing service in the heavy civil industry of Newfoundland since its incorporation over 30 years ago. We play a major role in the completion of many large government and municipal projects that involve the building and paving of many of the province's main highways and rural roads.

Qualifications

Experience/knowledge with the following is required for consideration:

• Basic computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
• Applicant must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Class 3 Drivers License is considered an asset.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Greet drivers and customers, giving directions and answering questions regarding granulars and aggregates.
• Dispatching Drivers to various delivery locations all over the Avalon Peninsula.
• Handle weight tickets for customers using our Scale Operating Software.
• Communicate with the drivers and document reports over the Two-Way Radio System - PTT.
• Complete administrative tasks including regular filing and required reports.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
