Kan-Arm is an industry leader for heavy rock works throughout Western Canada. We are looking to expand our team of adaptive and technical scalers/rope technicians who are looking for a long-term career with competitive salary and extended benefits after the initial probation period.
Job Duties:
- Rock scaling
- Hand drilling (flat ground and Rope Access)
- Trim blasting
- Rock bolting and pull testing
- Grout/resin application
- Rock bolt installation
- Mesh or rockfall system installation
- Pre-shift inspection of equipment and inventories
- Pre-shift inspection of all fall protection equipment
- Production records and drill logs to be filled out legibly, documenting daily activities
- Daily FLHA and sign-off on toolbox talks and any other required safety documentation
Employment Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in rock scaling and Rope Access drilling
- Willingness to work as part of a team, outside in all weather conditions and follow fit-for-duty requirements of the company
- Maintaining and following Kan-Arm safety policies
- Maintaining and following Kan-Arm Code of Ethics policy
- Maintaining a positive attitude/reputation and ethical professionalism as a representative of Kan-Arm
- Following Kan-Arm vehicle and equipment policies
- Personal references for safety history and quality of work
- Drug and alcohol testing
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $35.00-$46.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 84 per week

- single rope or double rope: 1 year (required)
