The Schedule Change team plays a key role in Network Planning and is responsible for the execution of the overall Schedule Change management of passenger re-accommodation for Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada Express and AC marketing schedules.

The main objective of the Schedule Change Manager is to manage optimal protection for customers affected by Schedule Changes. This position reports to Manager, Schedule Change.

This role is focused on the customer experience and is integral to minimizing the Schedule Change impact to passengers. This is accomplished using carefully calibrated business rules in Altea, close interaction with Scheduling to interpret daily Schedule Changes, regular communication with Revenue Management regarding re-accommodation policies; all in compliance with corporate revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage re-accommodation business rules in Altea in accordance with commercial goals.
  • Maintain seamless passenger reprotection through key areas of focus, such as:
    • Verifying re-accommodation progress reports
    • Review of rejected Schedule Change messages
    • Proactive review of available capacity for passengers undergoing a Schedule Change
  • Manage the daily Schedule Change process in Altea as well as major seasonal Schedule Changes.
  • Manage the Schedule Changes in the operational window in a time sensitive manner.
  • Support the Current Scheduling team with close-in operational changes as required in Netline.
  • Implement and maintain stringent daily processes and procedures to ensure schedule integrity and quality. This includes monitoring reject messages.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management on reprotection guidelines.
  • Ensure that reprotection rules are working as designed.
  • Manage Altea libraries for support data such as aircraft configurations.
  • Ensure that new flights and routes are displaying as required in Altea at the time of corporate announcements.
  • Interact with Contact Centres for special handling of passengers as required.
  • Facilitate re-accommodation requirements and business rules for codeshare partners.
  • Work with codeshare partners to ensure class mapping and codeshare tables are accurate and relevant.
  • Assist with projects and testing.
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders as required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Altea
  • Ability to understand the impact of Schedule Changes on customers
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to question system outputs, troubleshoot and offer solutions
  • Proven ability to work under time constraints
  • Ability to work independently
  • Mastery of MS Office Automation with solid Excel skills
  • Passenger re-accommodation experience an asset
  • Revenue Management knowledge an asset
  • Experience with Netline an asset
