We have been proudly serving the Nipissing Parry Sound Student Transportation Service and our four local school boards since our inception in 1977. We are a family run business employing 90 employees and service Astorville, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil, North Bay, Powassan, and Trout Creek.

Primary Responsibilities
School Bus Drivers are responsible for safely transporting what we call “the most precious cargo” to and from school while ensuring students’ safety while boarding and exiting buses. School Bus Drivers are also responsible for performing pre/post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety, documenting and reporting according to provincial and company regulations, and complying with company and provincial regulations, laws and policies.
Requirements Knowledge & Skill Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Be at least 21 years of age Possess clean driving record and Criminal Record Search
- Meet medical standards
- Possess a minimum of a full G class license
- Great customer service and communication skills in order to interact with passengers, parents, school employees, co-workers and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to work independently
- Have a safety-first philosophy
- Have a sound knowledge of the region of the assigned school route and surrounding areas
We offer:
- Competitive wage: $18.50 to $19.70/hour route rate with minimum hours guarantee
- All in-class and on road training required in order to Pass a Ministry of Transportation Driver Examination or obtain a certificate of competence from a recognized authority by passing a vision screening, knowledge test and a driving test in a bus of appropriate size.
