About the Role
The Screener reports to the General Manager and/or designate and performs all aspects of
Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
- Be an engaged collaborative team player, developing and maintaining professional relationships that support and strengthen the organizational culture and purpose.
- Awareness of outbreak practices and understanding and following the visitation guidelines.
- Provide guidance and support through the screening process, this may include using sign-in Kiosks; where applicable follow Kiosk processes
- Directing visits that are scheduled to designated areas; respecting social distancing and practicing high touch cleaning practices before, during, and after each visit
- Ensure all guests follow appropriate hand hygiene protocols
- Complete all appropriate documentation for visitors entering the community
- Daily review of essential visitor’s and ensure accuracy of the list
- Ensure all guests are following physical distancing and safety protocols
- Sanitize the screening and common areas and equipment
- Keep assigned work area clean, well-organized, presentable and free of clutter
- Ensure all guests follow PPE guidelines
- Follow all guidelines and protocols for any items brought to the community
- Follow all infection control procedures required by MHO
- Control and manage all documents according to appropriate guidelines
- Provide customer service to guests
- Contact the Manager or designate if a guest is not willing to comply with screening measures
- Stock appropriate PPE daily or as needed
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize
- Ability to manage high volume of work and manage several tasks at once
- Ability to demonstrate diplomacy, empathy and patience in providing quality services to residents and their families.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions
- Customer service oriented; interest in working with seniors.
- All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.
