Scrum Master

CGI is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to oversee and guide an agile team in the IP (intellectual property) development business unit. The Scrum Master's responsibilities include overseeing the development team, ensuring the team follows all scrum framework values and agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.
To be successful as a Scrum Master, you should have a firm grasp of agile practices and the ability to effectively manage and mentor development teams. An outstanding Scrum Master should have excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor’s degree in business management (or related area)
• Two+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
• Excellent skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, interpersonal skills, and increasing transparency.
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of various software development lifecycles (Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework, and etc.)
• Knowledge in business process and solution design
• Ability to identify areas for process improvement and/or increased efficiency
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications to have to be successful in this role:
• Proficient in Atlassian tools: Jira and Confluence
• Proven ability to balance concurrent activities.
• Project Manager, Project Coordination, or Scrum Master certification
• Good presentation skills
• Six Sigma certification
• Familiarity with the testing lifecycle and testing best practices
This position is located out of our Lafayette,LA or Lebanon, VA or Knoxville, TN office, however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $96,000- 171,000.
