The Opportunity:

We're looking for an outstanding Scrum Master to join us in improving and creating our member-facing applications. As a Scrum Master you are responsible for facilitating quality and effective delivery of our member-facing applications. You will help those outside the team understand which interactions with the Scrum team are helpful and what changes can be made to help the team achieve their goal. Servant leadership, your ability to problem-solve, and your ability to influence will also be important in this role. Promoting a positive and collaborative team environment is critical to ensure open lines of communication and transparency amongst all team members and stakeholders.

Your everyday with us will consist of:

  • Facilitating the Scrum process, including all Scrum events (daily scrums, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.).Ensuring the events are positive, productive, have a set agenda and kept within the timebox.
  • Fostering a safe environment for the Scrum team. Encouraging a comfortable atmosphere, allowing for open communication. Looking for opportunities to change and adapt to support the team's needs
  • Identifying, leading, and resolving any risks, issues, and blockers. In some cases, working with colleagues outside of the Scrum Team to address blockers which require broader organizational support.
  • Monitoring progress. Providing regular status updates to the Project Manager and Management.
  • Leading, promoting and supporting the Scrum framework both within the Scrum Team and the organization.
  • Leading the Scrum team to self organization and continuous improvement.
  • Continuously demonstrating servant leadership.
  • Supporting the organization in its agile adoption.

What you need to succeed:

Education and Experience: Scrum Master Certification or on the pathway to certification as a Scrum Master, 3+ years working on agile projects as a Scrum Master or other project management role.

Skills: Knowledge of agile development best practices and experience with tools such as Jira, Miro, and SharePoint

Language Skills: Bilingualism is an asset for this position.

Other Skills:Excellent communication skills. Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent relationship building skills, exhibits patience, tolerance, and adaptability towards various working styles and seeks to build lasting relationships and partnerships.
