We are a distributor of firefighting and safety equipment. As well as this, we offer a service to our customers in the way of cleaning and repairing of firefighting gear (Turnout Gear) through our seamstress team. Our customers include many large and small fire departments in Western Canada.

The duties for our Seamstress position includes (but are not limited to):

- Inspecting gear to determine repairs needed

- Hydro-Static testing of moisture barrier

- Laundering soiled gear

- Measure, cut, and sew fabric to perform seam and patch repairs using an industrial sewing machine

- Replacing hardware (rivets etc.)

- Documenting work performed on order forms (basic computer skills needed)

- Packing up gear, making ready to go back to department

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Ability to follow instructions in English

- Experience with industrial embroidery and equipment a benefit

Experience:

  • Sewing: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Embroidery (Benefit)
