The Good Spirit Housing Authority manages a property and program services portfolio on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. The Housing Authority provides affordable housing to seniors, families, and others, who could not otherwise access safe, secure housing within our neighboring communities.
The Housing Authority has term opportunities for self-motivated, results-oriented seasonal workers to join the Yorkton, Melville and Canora teams for the busy summer months from May to September 2024. The responsibilities are varied and include mowing lawns, trimming trees and shrubs, cleaning eaves as well as exterior and interior painting, and cleaning at the Housing Authority properties. You may be called upon to assist with general office tasks such as answering phones, responding to general inquiries, and filing. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Positive personal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, efficiency, time management and good judgment
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and work amongst tenants and the public
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently and meet deadlines
- Recognition of, and respect for, people's diversity
- Valid driver's license
This is a full-time, seasonal term position to work Monday to Friday.
Working hours will be determined collaboratively.
The position currently vacant is expected to start as soon as possible with a term from May to September 2024.
Salary is $16.16 to $17.11 per hour.
