Classification Summary - Union
A Labourer physically assists City work crews.
Duties - Union
The Urban Forestry Term position will assist the city arborists with duties related to tree maintenance, tree planting and other Urban Forestry related duties.
General Parks maintenance including tree, plant and lawn care, irrigation upkeep, garbage pick-up, raking, shoveling, mowing and use of small equipment and hand tools.

Results and Activities - Non union
Credentials - Union
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience performing general labourer duties
- Experience in horticulture, turf grass management or arboriculture would be an asset
- Excellent customer service and communications skills
- Flexibility and teamwork
- Driver’s Licence Class 5
- A Level II First Aid Certificate would be an asset
- Applicants must be physically able to perform the job duties

Physical Demands
This position will be working outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain. This position requires performing a significant amount of digging, bending and lifting.
