Seasonal Patio Server

Elora Distilling Company is seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Patio Servers. As a Patio Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests while they enjoy our award-winning craft spirits in our vibrant patio setting. Responsibilities:

• Provide Outstanding Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take orders and payments promptly, and ensure all requests are met with efficiency and enthusiasm.
• Knowledgeable about Products: Have a comprehensive understanding of our craft spirits, cocktails, and food menu to make informed recommendations and answer any guest inquiries.
• Attend Training Sessions: Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge, service skills, and cross-training opportunities to prepare for shifts in various bar areas.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the front of house and back of house areas clean, tidy, and presentable at all times, including clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
• Monitor Guest Experience: Proactively engage with guests to ensure their needs are met, promptly addressing any concerns or issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Adhere to Health and Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and alcohol service regulations.
• Upsell and Promote: Encourage guests to explore our offerings by upselling additional items such as tours, events, merchandise, or food items.
• Work Collaboratively: Coordinate with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery, communicate effectively, and support each other during busy periods.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience providing high-quality customer service
• Experience working in other craft breweries, distilleries, cideries, or similar small business environments is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work as a team and/or independently.
• Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and cocktail preparation is an asset.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario, Canada.
• Smart Serve Certified
