About the Company

Louisbourg Seafoods is a family operated seafood business, built incrementally over the past three decades. We process snow crab, lobster, shrimp, ground fish, whelk, sea cucumber and mussels and ship our products all over the world.

Who We Are Looking For

This is an exciting opportunity, starting April 15th for an experienced Seasonal Payroll Assistantto apply their skills and knowledge to a growing seafood company. This is a permanent seasonal position (April 15th - Aug 30th) reporting to the Office Manager and located in our Sydney office.

· Must be currently a resident of Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

· Weekly payroll processing

· Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

· Complete weekly payroll submissions

· Preparing ROEs

· Daily data entry into Excel spreadsheets

· Provide assistance to management with projects and administrative duties

Qualifications:

· Prior payroll experience a must

· 3 - 5 years’ experience in a payroll role

· University degree or diploma in Accounting or related experience

· General knowledge of basic accounting principles

· Previous Experience using Sage 300 considered an asset

· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Detail orientated with strong problem resolution skills

· Ability to meet deadlines and take initiative
