Seasonal Store Assistant

The Seasonal Store Assistant will have a heart for customer service. They are responsible for greeting patrons and quests and support with sales in the resort store, under the direction of the General Manager.

To be successful in the role, you will need to take instruction well and work independently after receiving instruction, and provide superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Customer service and appropriate customer interactions
• Operation of POS System
• Inventory control and management
• Daily cash in / cash out sheets
• Cleaning, sanitizing and stocking store shelves
• Signing out any outdoor equipment and maintaining appropriate records
• Registering guests and completing appropriate manner
• Answer the telephone in a professional manner and support callers or take messages as appropriate
• Direct all guests concerns to appropriate manager
• Assist with any special event planning and implementation
• Assist with planning and implementing of children’s activities
• Ensure the store is always clean

Work Conditions

• Ability to work in all types of weather and conditions
• Interaction with employees, management, resort patrons and guests
• Physically demanding tasks, standing and moving for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and climb a ladder.

What you need to succeed

Must-have

• A high school diploma and a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license with no major infractions and less than 6 demerits.
• Basic knowledge and experience with sales
• A service focus with good communication and interpersonal skills is required in order to communicate clearly, ensure mutual understanding and encourage teamwork in the implementation of duties.
• The ability to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures, prioritize tasks and work independently is required.
• Proven achievement of results is key to success in the role.
• Must be able to provide consistent, friendly, professional customer service.

We offer a competitive hourly wage between $17.25 – $20.00, dependent on skills and ability. This opportunity is seasonal, full-time and is 20-40 hours per week scheduled shift work which will include evenings and weekends. This position is anticipated to start on April 8, 2024 and end on or about September 30, 2024. There is the possibly of some extended hours to meet operational requirements.
