Second Cook, Early Breakfast *4am Start*

Responsibilities

· Efficient preparation and production of menu items for high volume; restaurant, banquet conventions, meetings, & in-room dining with accuracy and attention to detail with a focus on the breakfast service and 4am shift starting time

· Ensures knowledge of sanitation, hygiene and safety for proper food storage and handling are maintained

· Finds creative culinary solutions to guest requests

· Maintains knowledge of up to date culinary trends and standards

· Adheres to procedures for proper use of equipment, proactive in accident prevention and in eliminating safety hazards

· Informs Chef and Sous Chefs including Engineering, of any hazards

· Performs other tasks assigned by management

Minimum Requirements

• Flexible with a primary focus on early *4am shifts - non-negotiable*, and other shifts as per business requirements including weekends, stat holidays, and so on as needed
• 2+ years’ previous culinary experience during breakfast shifts in particular, in a fast-paced environment. Banquet experience a big asset
• Good communication, good command of English
• Must be a team player, collaborative with fellow colleagues and guests
• A sincere passion for the culinary arts and prides themselves on creating inspiring dishes using local ingredients
• A diploma/certificate in culinary arts a big asset
• Red seal a big asset
• Must be able to understand and follow WHMIS at all times
